The name will sound familiar as Brewer Dauntless Shipyard - established in 1985 - is a stone’s throw from the new property. Formerly the Chandlery at Essex, this acre and a half acquisition offers a marina, a fuel dock, a mooring field, launch service and rental space for marine-related tenants. The two yards will become known as Brewer Dauntless Shipyard and Marina with Doug Domenie, Manager of Brewer Dauntless Shipyard, overseeing operations of the combined facilities.

The property offers 35 slips, a 150-foot fixed dock and a mooring field plus Essex boaters and visitors alike will enjoy the addition of the new Valvtect fuel dock.

The newly acquired property is home to the Essex Corinthian Yacht Club, Connecticut River Dock & Dredge, Essex Maritime Art & Custom Framing, and Maritime Analysis & Design.

The Chandlery building will be renovated to make space for two anticipated tenants, one being Boatique, a supplier of vessel interior furnishings. Amenities currently offered include Valvtect fuels, water, ice and Wifi – all available dockside, plus plentiful parking, a full laundromat, and showers. The yard is easy to navigate with a well-marked entrance channel between day markers 25 and 26. Transient and seasonal dockage will be offered at both the docks and moorings. Main Street and the Village of Essex are convenient to both locations, with most stores, restaurants and attractions within walking distance.

Service work for vessels at both locations will continue to be provided by Brewer Dauntless Shipyard. This acquisition further exemplifies the Brewer Yacht Yard Group’s commitment to the marine industry, providing the finest facilities and services available in New England.

Brewer Dauntless Marina has 33 slips with 30/125 and 50/250 electrical and water hookups. Our 55 moorings provide security in all conditions, and our large dock allows ample room for mooring customers to tie up, as needed.

Naturally, fuel, water and ice are all available dockside. We offer plentiful parking, a full laundromat, showers and a courteous staff.

The Marina's well-marked entrance channel is between day markers 25 and 26, and there is 8' of water in the channel and at the docks. There is some current in the basin at times of maximum current ebb and flow tide, so exercise caution.

The Marina provides a stationary T-dock and floating slips with generous fingerpiers; please place your fenders low for the floating docks. Our floating docks can accommodate vessels up to 45'; vessels up to 125' should use our T-dock. Our dock attendants will assist you in the docking process. Our marina staff monitors VHF channel 9 seven days a week.

Of course, these facilities aren't only for our full-time customers. We also offer full services for transients, both on slips and moorings. The Marina features:
